Smudging ceremonies using herbs, resins, Palo Santo Wood and incense are a custom of many indigenous cultures throughout the world, including North American indigenous peoples. Traditionally used in rituals, ceremonies and for spiritual purification, house blessings and spiritual cleansing. The smoke is believed by many to cleanse either a space or the body and aura, drive away negative energy and help reconnect with mother earth.

The combination of cedar, orange, and cinnamon in smudge sticks offers a harmonious experience. White sage purifies and cleanses, orange adds uplifting citrus notes, promoting positivity, while cinnamon provides grounding and protective qualities. This synergistic blend can create a balanced and energetically positive atmosphere when used in smudging rituals, enhancing focus and concentration.

Palo Santo - Palo Santo means "Holy Wood" and is used in cleansing and purifying rituals in much the same way as White Sage Smudge. It is a wonderful, deeply aromatic wood which has been used by the Incas and people of the Andes for many centuries. It's purpose is to purify and cleanse, to get rid of evil spirits and influences and it's smoke is believed by many to have healing and therapeutic powers. Each stick is about 4 inches long and half an inch wide (varies as this is a natural product!). This material is from Peru.

Feather - Feather is ideal to use during your smudging rituals to fan your sacred smoke during cleansing, purification and prayer work. Each feather is unique in color composition, design and size so please do expect some variance from posted pictures.

Abalone shells are a great accessory to aid your smudging ritual. The natural shape of the shell makes them super easy to hold and carry and the shells can take the heat of the burning sage. These shells are perfect for smudging ceremonies and can also burn resins, etc. They may also act as a storage home for your smudge sticks or as a beautiful natural home decoration. Great for holding and displaying tumble stones, Crystals, Bracelets etc, the possibilities are endless!

Each Abalone shell is natural and unique so do expect some color and minor size variance from the posted picture. All our abalone shells are premium grade retail quality, not museum quality. They are real genuine Abalone shells with small 'imperfections'. The backs may have cuts, scrapes, holes, scars and blemishes. If you look at the posted pictures you will see the holes, which are common to 99.99% of these shells. Some of the edges may have an odd small chip. Some have a clear glaze or polished interior to reveal beautiful shades of greens, blues and silver and many other colors, many with some black accents. Black on the inside does not mean the shell has been used – it is a natural coloration in some shells.
